Preschool预科班):

Everybody Up Starter

Unit 8- My Body, Lesson 4 – Phonics

Learn letters Ww, Xx, Yy, Zz and practice the alphabet.

Story Comprehension: "How's the weather?" by Richard Graham.

Students worked on their speaking and writing skills. They've completed tracing letter worksheets and written assignments in EU workbook.

This weekend children have to practice retelling the story "How's the weather?" through the pictures.

EU Starter: Unit 8, Lesson 4, p. 72-73.

Building sentences with pronouns “this, that, these, those” and getting familiar with different kinds of vehicles.

Question patterns:

"What's this/that?" It's an old bus.

Vocabulary:

Oxford Phonics

Short `u` word family with sound blends ut, ub, um, un.

Students practiced building CVC words, worked on their spelling, speaking, writing, and listening skills.

Please remind students to review pages 72-73 in EU and pages 72-78 in OxfordPhonics.

This week we started Unit 8 – My Week. Unit 8 Lesson 1 – Subjects: science, art, math, P.E. music, social studies. His/Her favorite subject is science. What’s his/her favorite subject? It’s science. Unit 8 Lesson 2 – Classes: karate class, dance class, swimming class, English class. Danny goes to karate class on Mondays. When does he/she go to karate class? He/She goes to karate class on Tuesdays. Unit 8 Lesson 3 – Story: ‘A Friend’. Pages 66-71 in ‘Everybody Up 2’ student book and pages 66-71 in ‘Everybody Up 2’ workbook.

This week we did unit 8 in our phonics books. We practiced different sounds and words with the soft c, soft g and the voiced s. We also did a listening activity and read the story "Jim Giant" on p.79.

Please remember to bring your Everybody Up books to school next week. We will do revision and prepare for the final exam next Thursday.
