Appointment of Jos Lenders as Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Materials
I am delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Jos Lendersas Editor-in-Chiefof Wiley’s materials science flagship journal, Advanced Materials . He will take over from me and start in this new role effectively immediately.
Jos studied Chemical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands), where he also obtained his PhD in the area of bioinspired materials chemistry and advanced electron microscopy. He has been with Advanced Materials since he joined Wiley in 2015, first as a peer-review editor working across various sister journals in the Advanced portfolio and since 2018 as Deputy Editor of Advanced Materials , Advanced Functional Materials , and Advanced Optical Materials . In 2018, he was the main organizer of the four AM 30 Symposia in Europe and Asia, which celebrated the 30 th anniversary of Advanced Materials .
Jos has many close connections with the materials science community and is a strong advocate of stringent but fair peer review, quality in publishing, and constantly strives for the best possible service for our authors, reviewers, and readers. I am confident that Advanced Materials will continue to flourish under his leadership.
